Greetings, fellow modeler's!
We're thrilled to kick off our 2024 meetings with a bang! Our January gathering was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to the expertise of the one and only Gaetan “Gates” Bisson. Gates, a true gentleman in the modelling community, took us on a journey through the fascinating world of diorama building.
During his master's class, Gates shared invaluable insights gleaned from his personal modelling journey. From classic techniques to the latest trends, Gates covered it all, offering a comprehensive overview of diorama construction. His presentation not only delved into the history of model kits but also provided practical advice on materials, techniques, and recommendations for creating stunning dioramas.
To the delight of our attendees, Gates brought along nine of his dioramas, each a testament to his skill and creativity. These intricately crafted scenes captivated our eyes and inspired us to push the boundaries of our projects.
We were thrilled to see such a fantastic turnout, with 58 enthusiastic individuals joining us for the meeting. A warm welcome to our new members of the club, we’re delighted to have you on board! Additionally, we set up three wonderful tables: two showcasing models and one dedicated to mementos for our friend from Ukraine, Kozak Serhiy.
